Annual Halloween Celebration Offers Fun for Families, Kids
VERSAILLES, Ohio (Oct. 20, 2025) – The community is invited to join Versailles Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center for its annual “Trunk-or-Treat” celebration. The free event will be held on Sun., Oct. 26, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., in the parking lot of the skilled nursing facility at 200 Marker Rd., in Versailles, Ohio.
The Halloween-themed activities will feature decorated car trunks where Versailles Rehab staff, many in costume, will hand out candy for the trick-or-treaters. In addition, free snacks such as pop, juice, popcorn, and cotton candy will be available for the visiting children and their families.
“We enjoy celebrating the fall season with our residents and families in the community,” said Jessica Mason, administrator of Versailles Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center. “This annual event combines Halloween fun and community spirit, making it a special tradition for everyone. Each year, we look forward to welcoming local families and creating lasting memories.”
Everyone is encouraged to bring a bag, pillowcase, or pumpkin basket to collect treats. “Our staff looks forward to welcoming community members while decked out in their favorite costumes,” said Mason. “This event is part of our year-round tradition of community engagement. Our events range from a holiday light display in December to visits with the Easter Bunny in spring, along with clothing drives, school supply collections, and other activities, we’re proud to offer opportunities that bring families together and strengthen community connections.”
Staff members will park their decorated cars in the Versailles Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center lot where kids can collect sweet treats in a safe, well-lit setting. There will be multiple candy givers, and the skilled nursing facility will provide the treats and snacks for free.
“It’s an additional opportunity for trick-or-treating, allowing kids to enjoy Halloween longer,” said Mason. “It’s also a great way to show off costumes, and every year we see very creative ideas.”
